Charlton Offsite Middle Schools

There are three Charlton offsite middle school locations; Fifer, Postlethwait, and Dover Air Base Middle. Offsite middle school students are integrated into a variety of school activities and classes with their typical peers. Some of the inclusion opportunities include Keyboarding, Essential Arts, PE, Chorus, Career Fairs, Dance Buddies, Unified Sports, Cheerleading, and Art Works for All. Charlton middle school students collaborate at all three locations on community-based instructional opportunities around units of study, such as the Fire Hall for Community Safety, Fifer Orchards for the Life Cycle of Plants, and Texas Road House for Vocational Skills. Job shadowing opportunities are also provided with support of CIS (Community Integrated Services) as a means for students to enhance their job explorations.
