Charlton Main Site
The John S. Charlton Onsite Program serves students with significant disabilities in grades Kindergarten - Adult. The focus is on applied academics and functional life and vocational skills using extensions/modifications of the Common Core curriculum in order to support students to reach their potential levels of independence. Students at John S. Charlton participate in community-based instruction and exploration, work-based learning experiences and vocational placements, and Special Olympics. Some additional highlights of the Charlton Onsite Program include job exploration in our PAES Lab, Brew and Gold Cafe service, Food Bank, Adapted PE and Aquatics, Adapted Art, Agriculture Program and Greenhouse, Social-Emotional Learning. Our students and families also receive support from our Related Services teams, included speech, occupational, physical, and art therapies as well as supports with student behaviors from our BA department and social supports from our school social worker.
